Harout Ajaryan / Founder & CEO

Harout Ajaryan is the founder and CEO of Vivotein. He is a serial entrepreneur with years of experience in farming and operations. He is most interested in innovative ideas that focus on the environment and sustainability. A few years ago, he came across an article about the Black Soldier Fly and was astonished at the incredible benefits of the species. What started out as a curiosity has now turned into his full-time business and passion.

Crist Khachikian

Dr. Khachikian is currently a faculty member in Civil Engineering at the California State University Northridge (CSUN). He has served as CSUN’s Associate Vice President for Research and the Graduate Dean. Dr. Khachikian earned his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from UCLA and a Masters of Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was the director of a multidisciplinary Center for Energy and Sustainability and he currently co-directs two programs, one focused on diversifying the biomedical workforce and the other to promote entrepreneurship and innovation across campus. Throughout his career, Dr. Khachikian has worked with faculty and students from dozens of fields and has successfully garnered over $50 million of funding to support faculty and students in various environmental, energy, and biomedical projects.

Andy Torosyan / Co-Founder

Andy Torosyan co-founded the M&A practice at HCVT LLP. As a tax partner with more than 20 years of experience, he provides strategic tax advice to clients on transactional and tax compliance services across numerous industry sectors including manufacturing, retail, distribution, real estate, personal care & beauty, food, service and private equity. He regularly advises on both buy-side and sell-side mandates to deliver tax diligence, modeling and structuring services. Andy has worked with clients through all phases of the business cycle, including start-up, rapid growth, steady cash flow, and liquidity events. Andy has served as an expert witness and authored numerous tax articles. As a Deloitte alumni, he worked in the Los Angeles tax practice, the Washington National Tax Office, and Deloitte’s M&A group.

Vicken Haleblian / Co-Founder

Vicken Haleblian is an early investor at Vivotein and a tax partner at HCVT, leading the firm’s Entertainment and Media practice. Vicken has over 35 years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to closely held entities. He serves the full spectrum of the entertainment industry including providing strategic tax consulting to motion picture production companies, film finance companies, scripted and unscripted TV production and distribution companies. He addresses industry related complex issues such as film ownership, deferred revenue, state tax credit monetization and treatment, state filing requirements including Nielson rating report, network advanced funding treatment, participation tax treatment, and complex waterfall arrangements. Vicken began his career at Arthur Andersen where he was admitted into the partnership in 1998. In 2005, he joined HCVT to help establish the firm’s Pasadena office.
